Mastering YouTube and Video Marketing

By Luke Barton

Sure, having a ton of video views at YouTube is great, but the other half of the battle is converting that traffic. Remember that videos, for business purposes, is still considered content, and so high quality content still applies with video marketing. Let's review several highly effective and most helpful tips on making something good happen at YouTube

Sometimes you can combine the efforts of two people and make something more powerful, and that is what this paragraph is all about. If you can put this deal together, then the videos will be seen in your channel and the other businesses channel. If you pull this off just right, you can gain more viewers and possibly subscribers. Always keep your eyes peeled for a good JV - always. Your goal should be to partner with someone that already has a presence on YouTube and isn't afraid to experiment. You will find more willing JV partners if you wait until you have a few hundred subscribers, or so. So remember that you need to take as many chances as you can get to build your channel up and get noticed.

As far as length is concerned, anywhere around the five minute mark will usually be all right just as long as you do not bore the viewer. But, as always, if your videos are engaging and jam-packed with great content, then people will watch an hour's worth if they are that good. When in doubt, ask a friend to give you totally honest feedback and opinions about your latest creations. On the other hand, one thing you can do is let it ride and see what the community feedback is like - it can be pretty brutal. Once you've got a dedicated subscriber base, you can experiment with longer videos once in a while to give your viewers more value.

One thing is for sure with YouTube, it is hard to get bored since there are videos on so many different topics. So as it concerns your channel, then just get in the habit of making some videos every week so your channel is updated. So if you make about fifty to one hundred videos, then it is all right to take a break from the action. Produce ten new niche videos each month, and then optimize them and backlink them - powerful stuff.

However, keep in mind that you can't really overdo this process and upload several videos per week, because that may annoy your viewers and make them unsubscribe from your channel. There is not a lot you have to get around when you want to make your move at YouTube
