Man Beats Young Daughter's Sexual Abuser to Death; Local Community Proclaims Justice was Served

By David Dischler

A grand jury will judge whether to indict a youngster, who beat to death his daughter's claimed sexual abuser. For now, the identity of the father has been kept from the press releases to offer protection to the identity of his child. The young girl wasn't physically hurt and is doing alright, except, naturally, for substantial emotional and mental shock.

Last Saturday, the man was enjoying a barbeque with his family at their ranch in Shiner, Texas. His daughter had rambled off to the barn to feed the chickens when he heard screaming. The dad saw a man sexually abusing his girl. He stopped the aggression and then beat the man repeatedly over the head. The alleged sexual attacker was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The purported sexual assailant was a 47-year-old man and an informal acquaintance of the family, renowned for his superior pony grooming abilities. The medical examiner declared the reason behind death as blunt force injury to the neck and head wounds; but the full postmortem report won't be available for roughly six weeks as toxicology testing has been requested.

The incident took place in a small, tired town in Texas, renowned for Spoetzl brewery, a wire and plastics company, and unending acres of farmland. The town bodes itself as the "Cleanest Tiny Town in Texas" and is located between Houston and San Antonio. It is a place where violence is not exactly normal.

Members of the community don't fault the girl's pop, announcing "Any father would have done that." The person was a 23-year-old single parent, described as conscientious and not at all violent. He actually called 911, telling emergency staff the man that sexually attacked his child was lying beaten on the ground. Neighbors describe the daddy as hard-working, friendly, and polite "The sort of man that calls people 'sir.'" Claimed to be a good, fair, hard-working kid, who never gets into trouble by the daddy of the man's former school pal that owns the ranch across the way from where the event happened.

Lavaca County Sheriff, Mica Harmon, said that the admitted killer appeared remorseful and didn't realize the purported assailant would die at the scene. When questioned if the authorities would press charges, Sheriff Harmon explained that once the enquiry was complete, the full report would be submitted to the district solicitor, who would then submit it to the grand jury. He also stated , though, that you have got a right to protect your daughter, and therefore the man acted in defense of his third person. Some wonder whether the father will even have to a full criminal trial and further the damage to the small family.

In a place where everybody knows everyone and gets with everybody, the murder comes as a great shock. In a community that prides itself as relaxed, there is an overwhelming consensus that justice was served.
