Imitate Siri applications Evi will be forced off the shelf from the Apple App Store

By Jerri Lily

Last month, a new iPhone and Android applications Evi were available, its features were with the iPhone Apple 4S voice assistant service is very similar to Siri. However, a few days ago Apple has informed the application developers True Knowledge, Evi is from the Apple application off the store shelf, because it is so similar to Siri.

Although Evi was not like the Siri, it can add iPhone schedule or remind, but when a user asked "how to do the apple pie?" Evi is will answer a number of recipes as well as web links, Siri is only replied, why not go online search. Perhaps it was because of Evi too excellent, but with little difference of Siri, Apple has informed the the Evi application developers True Knowledge, Apple plans to the Evi application store off the Apple App shelves.

Apple has repeatedly approved different versions of the Evi stationed in its application store. However, sources said, Apple has long been dissatisfied with the Evi sponsored competition to Siri, including True Knowledge in the Siri launched later submitted an updated version of the Evi application, this update adds historical search function. True Knowledge to submit this updated version of Evi has been three weeks, but Apple has not yet ratified it.

Last Friday night, True Knowledge received a phone call from Apple on behalf of Richard Chipman, informed that Apple "they will removed Evi from the App Store because it is too similar with Siri. Apple reference to the provisions of Section 8.3 of the Apple App Store: "confusingly similar to the application will be rejected with the existing Apple product or advertising theme."

It is much too rude that Apple removed a section of the application directly from the app store, the usual practice should be refused on-line application, or require the developer to modify the application.
