Why do men and women of the same weight burn different calories? Seecalories in an egg here. Most of it has to do with the fact that men have more muscle mass which allows them to burn more calories at rest. This should also encourage you to put on muscle, whether you are a man or a woman.

So, going back to calories & weight loss, if you are a 150 pound woman and you don't want to do any exercise, you need to eat no more than 1200 calories a day. For those who want to lose weight, counting calories is a great way to know what's going into your body.

I'm not a huge supporter of deprivation. I believe that when you feel deprived, you actually end up craving the item even more. Instead, I suggest being very mindful of the amount of calories you're eating. Most processed foods contain labels with calorie and nutritional information. My only warning is to look at the serving size.

Sometimes a package contains more than one serving. It's also important to look at nutritional content when choosing what to eat. A candy bar of three hundred calories and a salad with chicken at three hundred calories are not equal. If you were to sit in a chair and not move a muscle, your body would still require calories. The food we eat carries calories which are basically little energy factories. The beating of the heart, the digestion of food, breathing.

these all require energy which comes to us in the form of calories. What a shame that those helpful little guys called calories can also cause really big problems if there are too many of them. If there are more calories provided than are needed to run the normal activities of the body, they seek lodging, preferably in bellies and hips.

And, once they're settled in, they are really difficult to evict! These include your weight, age, fitness level and of course the intensity and length of time you spend exercising on a stair stepper. And one important thing you must remember about how the calories you burn, is that you must first set a weight loss plan, which will include a nutritional healthy diet.

When looking to burn calories to lose belly fat and tone up, and as part of your fat loss plan, you should also calculate your body fat percentage. By doing this before you start any weight control strategy, you will get a better idea of how much work you have to do to lose weight.
