TVI Express, A Dodgy Affair?

By Tom Hicks

TVI's headquarters are in Heathrow, London, United Kingdom (apparently).

Their life began in January 2009 and there have been some outstanding income claims made by representatives involved in this company which is why I was intrigued and wrote a TVI Express review. I checked out all their information on the official website but after a great deal of time looking through their material there was still one question unanswered, 'What's the actual product?' Anytime this happens alarm bells go off in my head and I find myself asking 'Is this a Ponzi scheme?'.

After some further research I was still none the wiser, I even spoke to some TVI reps and they didn't seem to have any definite answers other than you are awarded a 6 night hotel voucher when you pay your $250 to join up

There is no definite range of products offered by TVI, which makes me feel uncomfortable

How can you make money with TVI?

A distributor will make their money from getting others to sign up and pay the $250. They operate a 'rotating matrix' compensation plan and you have to 'cycle' through the 'Travel Board' first and then you will be paid $250 and given an e-voucher of $250. Next you move up to the express board and you again 'cycle' your way up to the top of the matrix and then supposedly you will get paid $10,000. $250 will get you into the scheme MLM sponsoring MLM recruiting and you won't have to make any further payments. You need to qualify to be paid your commission and this is achieved by bringing in two new recruits.

Given that the entry fee is just $250 how can members earn such large amounts from just 2 new recruits? Because right now thousands of people are signing up in the hope of riches and paying their $250 fee and as long as this keeps happening everyone is able to keep cycling through the matrix and being 'pushed' to the top and exiting with their $10,000. The company says that once you pop out at the top you will re-enter the matrix again and earn another $10k.

All of these matrix type systems have a limited life. Being no products as such (other than the 'hope' of wealth) then the minute folks stop joining and paying $250, so the matrix will cease to rotate and its game over. With a traditional MLM company that becomes saturated, distributors will still make money because they are selling products of REAL VALUE to end users.

Is this a legitimate opportunity?

In these situations I always ask myself, does the product offered benefit the consumer. Also I think about if the product would sell on its own if there wasn't the enticement of an MLM comp plan attached to it. TVI does not satisfy either of these requirements.

Is this an opportunity you should sign up with

It certainly looks an attractive comp plan. It would be wise not to try and get anyone who values your opinion to join. You will probably blow your credibility. Beware, I have read in many different places online that payments are not guaranteed to be in cash, but rather in the form of a voucher that will get you a good deal on a holiday or some travel deal.
