Backlinks are links to your blog, or website, from other sites and forums. Now, creating backlinks can take time and.....well more time, if done manually or without using a service. One successful way of creating backlinks to generate blog traffic is to write articles about your site and spin them into multiple different articles. All of these articles should have links on them pointing back to your blog. One tool that I like to use and has been very effective in generating blog traffic for my site is the Unique Article Wizard. This program allows you to upload an article and they post the articles for you with backlinks. Another simple way, but time consuming, is posting links to your site on to different forums and blogs that relate to your site yourself. This will also be effective in achieving more traffic, but could take a little longer because you are doing it one site at a time.

Launching an AdWords campaign can be great in generating high amounts of traffic. By using AdWords you will be guaranteed to your site, but not guaranteed that the traffic will convert, or buy. Using AdWords to create blog traffic can also be very expensive. Every time someone clicks on your ad Google charges you a certain amount, depending on the cost of the keyword. Before starting an AdWords campaign, you should do your research on how to make a good ad. Also, be ready to pay. Your Google bill can add up quickly before making any sales. You still will be receiving the blog traffic, but could easily spend $1000 before seeing any profitable results.

Blogs are created around a certain topic, or keyword(s). These keywords need to be listed consistently in your blog, in the headers, the domain, and the meta tags. When you include your keyword in all of these spots, visitors will be more likely to find your site based on that particular keyword. The search engines will find your site and bring traffic to your blog, depending on how your keyword is used throughout your site. This way is not always the fastest technique in generating blog traffic, but is extremely necessary in order to rank on the search engines.
