Should The Page Rank Of An Article Directory Be A Factor?

By Tiffany Nash

There is no argument about the value of the Page Rank. The quality of your site content, how productive your links are, and the number of visitors to your site are reflected in your Page Rank.

We all strive for the highest Page Rank we can muster for good reason. The higher your ranking is, the more visitors you get and the brighter your sale opportunities would be.

Which is why we write and submit articles. Articles are a major component of high volume content, and articles with a bio box are instrumental in the establishment of external links that leads to the website.

The point is to be in the spotlight and get noticed. The more we have the more profit we make.

Easy to understand actually.

But then the plot thickens.

You don't get noticed by indiscriminately creating links. You see, there's a method to the madness that brings it all full circle.

You have to put your articles in better performing sites than yours if you are to get the desired result of earning a higher ranking via external links.

This begs the question of whether or not the same can be said of Article Directories.

It depends on what your process is and how much time you have, meaning that if you are pressed for time, then the page rank would matter.

High page rank would give you the immediate exposure you want if you have to work within a rigid schedule.

But then you have to take into consideration that with the rapid fire article submission software, services and scripts makes for a fluid situation in the daily ranking guide as reflected in the Page Rank for Article Directories.

For example, there is the case of an Article Directory who gets submissions of well over a thousand articles, from scratch just a week before! After a month's time, some have even reached the 5 to 10 thousand article mark.

Now considering that Google adjusts a site's Page Rank every three months, an Article Directory could show a big fat "0" Page Rank one day, and after Google makes their adjustments, could climb to a PR4 or PR5 the next.

So, thinking logically, the only time an Article Directory's Page Rank should concern you is the day after Google makes its adjustments.

Still, that would be true only if you are able to submit to 5 to 10 of the higher ranked sites after you have managed to open in time the connection to your site. It really is a qualified yes or no.

A yes answer to the page rank importance would be conditioned by the assumption that you are submitting your articles manually.

It is a different ball game for those who submit articles to the different sites and in the process contribute to the higher placing of more Article Directories in the Page rank than was possible before.

This can only bode well for everybody.
