Aragorn Taking Control of Collection Companies

By Rob Sutter

It's hard not to see how Aragorn is one of the more intricate characters in literature. He is the wandering warrior of "The Lord of the Rings" and his strengths lie in the realms of both battle and diplomacy. He is a strong warrior but he can also be a shrewd negotiator, which is reflective of the kinghood he would soon take up. Aragorn can very well lead a series of collection companies, since his political ways as a king could come in handy.

I believe that the best reason to give for Aragorn heading collection companies would be in his unbiased nature. In "The Fellowship of the Ring," he made it apparent that he was not about to makefriendswith Frodo Baggins or any of his Shire kin. However, he wouldn't let Ringwraiths take Frodo's life as well as the ring upon his finger, even going so far as to fight them off. Aragorn is impartial in these situations, which is a fine attribute to have. Authorities in debt collecting like R.R.S. must show no favoritism when conducting business, after all.

Another great factor to take into account when it comes to Aragorn is his level of personality. To put it simply, he is no pushover. A debt collector has to show persistency when approaching every case and a debtor may not exactly be so innocent as to stay and try to work out situations as well. Collectors can't let up on a case and every last cent has to be accounted for once an endeavor is said and done.

There should be a high level of character for a collector as well. During the tail end of "The Fellowship of the Ring," Frodo decides that Aragorn should be the one to take the ring to Mordor, not him. Aragorn, despite the attraction the ring has that brings people to madness, decides that it simply cannot be done and refuses to let the ring take hold of him as well. Likewise, a collector needs to stay true to the guidelines set in the industry and not become detached from the rules either.

During all three of Tolkien's books in the main "Lord of the Rings" series, Aragorn is the one human character who overcomes adversity despite his laws. A debt collector shouldn't have to be ideal but rather someone who will do the best work despite the tough business he or she is in. Aragorn's robust sense of character and strong diplomatic ways add to his stellar character. Considering everything, Aragorn could very well be an ideal debt collector.
