Everyone involved in the home business MLM industry is looking for freedom and success, that's the sole reason that they joined up in the first place, but it can be quite disheartening to note that so many fail in the industry. The reality is that 97% of people do NOT make any significant money in this industry, which quite frankly is simply due to a lack of knowledge and correct implementation of proven techniques.

It's not that there's anything wrong with the business model, and probably nothing wrong with your company, products or compensation plan. A lack of MLM marketing knowledge is the most common reason for failure in this industry.

A lack of leads is a problem for everyone that gets started and by using some basic online marketing techniques you will be able to generate more leads than you have time for.

Many new distributors are taught to use some of the old fashioned methods of prospecting friends and family and making up their warm list then calling them up and getting as many people to a presentation as possible. Whilst this does work, it has a very limited lifespan. Did you know that by taking some simple steps on a daily basis it's possible to generate 10-50 leads every day on complete autopilot? Sure you are going to have to do some work, but how would your business look with an extra 10-50 odd leads a day?

Using online MLM marketing methods you are able to position yourself in such a way that attracts prospects to you, rather than you chasing them. One of the best ways to attract attention is by producing valuable content that you then put out on the internet, this might be videos or articles, or you can even use paid advertising for faster results.

You will find that a lot of folks think that marketing online requires you to hold a degree in Information Technology, but this simply isn't the case, you don't need to be any kind of guru, just willing to learn and take action. The key is to find a good mentor or community that can show you how to get up and running. Persoanlly the most effective method I've used is content marketing to build my business, it's simple to do and once you have some momentum the leads and cash keeps rolling in on autopilot.

One of the beauties of creating valuable articles and videos is that by the time your prospect gets to your website, they are already pre-sold on you. They already have a good idea who you are and what you're about. Brilliant for branding. By not pitching your deal at the earliest opportunity, your visitors are going to see you as a source of information rather than just another salesperson. You will definitely make a LOT more money if your prospects already like and trust you, it's human nature, we do business with people that we like and trust.

The other thing I love about this marketing method is that it's residual traffic, i.e. it keeps coming in day after day, from work that I did once. You are going to have your articles and videos showing up on the sites themselves, but also in the search engines which personally brings me most of my traffic. It won't be uncommon to find that you have prospects calling you up out of the blue asking about your business, after having read one of your articles, or seen one of your videos. Once that starts happening your business is going to change for the better that's for sure.
